We are hoping to establish a great resource for artists and purchasers who might be interested in specific types of art – or who would like to commission pieces and so we are on the first step of a new journey – to update our Wairarapa Directory.

Both No. 23 (Art gallery at No. 23 Holloway Street) and Heart of the Arts in High Street, Carterton are both  active and invested in ensuring that artists have access to exhibition spaces and to the wider public.

There are several other ‘artistic’ ventures in the pipeline here in the Wairarapa at the moment including ConArt based in Masterton behind Aratoi (Art & History Museum) in Masterton, the annual Featherston Art Show, the Wai Art Show which takes place during Daffodil Festival which is the second Sunday in September in Carterton and a couple more that are just in the planning stages – one of which designing a garden at Haumanu House is having it’s first meeting tomorrow morning between 10am and 12pm.
