I am a writer of children’s picturebooks (including Elwyn’s Dream, The Eels of ANZAC Bridge and A Beam of Bright Light.) I also enjoy creating large whimsical paintings (sometimes murals), especially those containing subject matter connected to New Zealand’s native flora and fauna.

Fraser Books has been publishing since producing Sonja Davies’ bestselling 'Bread & Roses' in 1980. We have published about 150 books, most of them since the late 1990s. We are publishers for the Wairarapa Archive and the NZ Cartoon Archive at the Alexander Turnbull Library.

I'm an internationally published, Greytown author with eleven books for junior and teen readers and one adult novel published by Penguin, Pearson and Pearson Education, across a range of genres including science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction and non-fiction. My science fiction writing covers both space based adventures and social science fiction and my fantasy works utilise contemporary as well as traditional settings.
My published children's writing have won a Sir Julius Vogel award, the Attitude Artistic Achievement Award, been selected among Children's Literature Foundation of New Zealand's List of Notable Books and been highly commended in the CLL Educational Publishing Awards. All my science fiction and fantasy novels were at least finalists in the Sir Julius Vogel awards and two of my illustrated books have been translated into French.
The international markets my writing has been published in include Australia, Canada, Malaysia and the UK.
Established in 1907, Hedleys is an independent bookstore specialising in New Zealand and Wairarapa history, biography, art and popular music, with a small niche publishing division publishing local history; the history of nineteen century pacific exploration including Australia and New Zealand; and Australian art.
